What were some factors that determined the success of these relationships? Woman's happiness in the relationship often had to do with whether the woman knew her partner was bisexual before they became involved, and if the partner was already out. Women who knew about their partner's bisexuality at the beginning at the relationship were in a much better position.

Men who were not out to their partners at the beginning, on the other hand, were more likely to, unfortunately, be violent—emotionally and physically—with their female partners. I also am intimidated by what I know about the straight dating world. The straight women I know all have horror stories about the things men have done to them.
